Support the Institute
The Institute of Sikh Studies New Zealand is dedicated to Guru Granth and Guru Panth. Your support — through participation, volunteering, or donations — helps us continue offering educational programmes and build a strong, connected future for Sikhs in New Zealand.
Every donation goes directly into teaching and learning. We are a community-run institute, and gifts from families and supporters are what keep our doors open.
What your donation supports
- Keeping fees low — so cost is never the reason a child misses out on learning Panjabi.
- Free learning resources — our resource library and Panjabi Sounds recordings are free for everyone, students or not.
- Books and teaching materials — workbooks, readers and classroom resources for our Saturday and evening classes.
- Training our teachers — ongoing professional development so lessons are taught well.
- Community events — Vaisakhi, Hunar-e-Khalsa, seminars and the gatherings that bring our sangat together.
How to donate
Donations are made by direct bank transfer to the Institute’s account:
| Account name | Institute of Sikh Studies NZ |
| Account number | 12-3287-0419178-00 |
Please include your name as the reference so we know who the donation is from. If you would like it to go towards something in particular — a course, books, or an event — put that in the second reference field, or email us and let us know.
Receipts
We can issue a receipt for any donation. Email infosikhstudies@gmail.com with the date, the amount and the reference you used, and we will send one back to you.
Other ways to help
Money is not the only way to support the Institute. We are always grateful for seva — time, teaching, and hands at our events.
- Volunteer — help at classes, events and working bees.
- Teach — if you have Panjabi language or Gurmat skills, talk to us about joining our teaching team.
- Spread the word — tell a family who would benefit from our courses.
